Anyone who has lost a pet can sympathize with the owners of Sassafras the missing beagle. When I was looking at the Washington Post website last night, I came across this story about the couple desperately trying to find their lost Beagle, Sassafras, who got away from her dog walker back in April.
Daisy and I don't live near Takoma Park, so we can't physically help to search for Sassafras, but we urge anyone who does and is reading this blog to read the article above, and visit the blog dedicated to the search to see how you can help. We've also added the blog's link to our list of blogs we read, so you will be able to see updates to their blog when viewing our blog.
Some may think that by now Sassafras's owners should give up and move on, but there have been enough confirmed sightings of her that they know she's still out there, waiting to be found and brought home. And, speaking as someone whose own cat got away from her and was missing for a full week before he finally found his own way home, I can tell you that, sometimes, giving up just isn't a possibility.
We wish Beth and Jeff the best of luck.
